Your role

• You are responsible for designing and implementing procurement strategies to ensure the company’s long-term competitiveness.
• You identify, evaluate and develop supplier relationships. This includes conducting tenders, negotiating contracts and finalising agreements.
• Strategic buyers analyse and manage costs to identify and realise potential savings. This also includes optimising overall procurement costs.
• You are responsible for potential risks in the supply chain, including identifying potential disruptions and developing risk mitigation strategies.
• You monitor and analyse the performance of procurement processes and strategies to ensure continuous improvement.
• You look forward to working in a cross-site team and are comfortable communicating in English.

Your profile

• A business degree with a specialisation in, or further training in, procurement
• Several years’ professional experience in strategic procurement, preferably in an international environment
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, as well as analytical thinking
• Knowledge of the market and products (goods and services) in the DACH region, knowledge of contract and patent law, and a basic understanding of project management
• Experience with SAP, Coupa or similar systems would be an advantage
• Business-fluent German and English
