Shape the future of our global SAP and Enterprise Application landscape

As Head of Department Enterprise Excellence, you will lead an international team of SAP and application experts and play a key role in driving our digital transformation. You will be responsible for the strategic development, operational excellence, and global harmonization of our enterprise applications, ensuring that IT solutions effectively support business growth and innovation worldwide.

Your role

• Lead and develop an international team of SAP Inhouse Consultants and Application Specialists, including functional and disciplinary leadership.
• Own and continuously evolve the global SAP landscape and related enterprise applications across the entire application lifecycle.
• Ensure stable, efficient, and high-quality application services, including global 2nd and 3rd level support.
• Drive the harmonization, standardization, and optimization of business applications, processes, and system architectures across the group.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, process owners, and project leaders to identify and implement value-adding digital solutions.
• Manage budgets, resources, external partners, and service providers while ensuring operational excellence and cost efficiency.
• Contribute to the IT strategy and lead innovation, automation, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Define and monitor service quality through KPIs and SLAs and represent your area of responsibility within the global IT organization

Your profile

• University degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Business Administration, or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of work and leadership experience in an international IT environment, ideally within SAP and enterprise application management.
• Strong understanding of SAP-supported business processes and enterprise application landscapes.
• Proven experience in application architecture, process optimization, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and lead distributed international teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills across all organizational levels.
• Strategic, analytical, and solution-oriented mindset with a strong customer and service focus.
• Fluent in English and German and willing to travel internationally as required (up to 20%)
