Objective of the position

The Backend Developer is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining scalable backend services, APIs and integration components using the Microsoft .NET platform with C#. The role focuses on building reliable domain services, adapters and integration layers within a modern layered architecture (Frontend → BFF → Message Bus → Adapters).

The Backend Developer collaborates closely with Full Stack and Frontend Developers to ensure seamless communication between frontend applications and backend services. While the primary expertise is backend development using .NET and C#, the role also requires working knowledge of TypeScript to support Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) services and assist Full Stack developers when needed. The developer contributes to secure, scalable and maintainable enterprise solutions following modern engineering and DevOps practices..

Responsibilities

·       Develop, maintain and continuously improve backend services and APIs using .NET and C#

·       Build and maintain integration adapters and platform connectors

·       Design and implement data access layers and database interactions

·       Develop RESTful APIs and event-driven integrations using Message Bus technologies

·       Collaborate closely with Full Stack Developers by supporting Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) implementations when required

·       Contribute to TypeScript-based backend components to support frontend integration and overall solution delivery

·       Write and maintain technical tests (unit, integration and API tests) to ensure reliability, security and performance

·       Design and deliver AI-powered software solutions, leveraging Claude, Claude Code, Codex or similar and modern engineering best practices

·       Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing and architectural discussions

·       Mentor less experienced developers

·       Follow the Definition of Done and team coding standards

·       Contribute to deployment, monitoring and application stability together with DevOps

·       Implementation and fulfillment of the safety manual’s requirements

·       Implementation and fulfillment of the personnel handbook’s requirements

·       Implementation and fulfillment of the regulatory requirements

·       Acts as a role model in accordance with the Corporate Values of the Ivoclar Group.

Ihr Profil

Qualification

Hard Skills:

·       Strong proficiency in C# and the Microsoft .NET platform

·       Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs

·       Strong understanding of backend architecture and distributed systems

·       Strong knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL or similar)

·       Familiarity with integration technologies and messaging patterns (Azure Service or similar)

·       Understanding of Domain-Driven Design, Clean Architecture and SOLID principles

·       Experience writing unit, integration and API tests

·       Experience with authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT)

·       Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

·       Experience with cloud services, preferably Microsoft Azure

·       Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

·       Working knowledge of TypeScript to support Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) services and collaborate effectively with Full Stack Developers

·       Experience with modern development tools and a strong interest in leveraging AI to improve development workflows

Professional

·       Bachelor or Master Degree in IT Technology, or Business Informatics

·       3+ years of professional software development experience

·       Excellent understanding of system integrations and software development lifecycle

·       Experience with enterprise application architecture and integration patterns

Proven experience with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and related tools (Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence,etc.)

 Fluent in written and spoken English

·       Communicative and cooperative team player

·       Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills

·       Proactive mindset, able to balance priorities and operational execution
