In this role, you will take responsibility independently for strategic procurement matters within the Global Indirect Procurement division and be accountable for the commercial aspects of your projects. You can expect a diverse procurement environment – ranging from services and development partners, through plant, equipment and consultancy, to IT and software. At the same time, you will become part of our newly established Global Indirect Procurement team, where you can contribute your experience and ideas and play an active role in shaping future structures, standards and working practices.
Your role
- You will assume commercial responsibility for strategic procurement projects and manage them in collaboration with the relevant departments – from requirements and market analysis, through supplier sourcing, tendering and bid evaluation, to the development and implementation of the negotiation strategy.
- Your remit includes conducting negotiations with suppliers independently and defining the commercial framework in terms of prices, terms and conditions, and contracts.
- You will work closely with various specialist departments and stakeholders within Ivoclar – with a particular focus on our Research and Development team at our headquarters in Schaan – and convincingly incorporate the commercial perspective of procurement into joint decisions.
- You will develop appropriate procurement strategies for your areas of responsibility and, as required, utilize market analyses, benchmarks and tenders to identify alternatives, opportunities and risks at an early stage.
- Your responsibilities include creating transparency regarding costs and value drivers, working with specialist departments to identify potential savings and optimization opportunities, and driving forward their implementation.
- You will contribute your experience and ideas to the further development of Global Indirect Procurement and support the global roll-out of shared processes, standards and working methods.
Your profile
- A university degree or equivalent commercial or technical qualification – further training in procurement would be an advantage
- Several years’ experience in strategic procurement, ideally in indirect procurement or similarly complex procurement areas and in an international environment
- Experience in independently preparing and conducting supplier negotiations, as well as a strong commercial and analytical understanding
- An independent and structured approach to work, as well as a willingness to take on responsibility and actively drive projects forward
- Experience with SAP, Coupa or similar systems is an advantage
