Purpose of the Role
The Accounting and Controlling Support Associate supports Global Accounting and Controlling by ensuring efficient finance operations, robust reporting processes, high data quality and stable system workflows. The role focuses on recurring, process-based activities that follow standardized templates and are scalable within a global organization.
Your role
What You'll Do
Group Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
- Assist with foreign exchange (FX) rate preparation and sales reconciliations.
- Support intercompany reconciliation activities and follow-ups.
- Prepare standardized financial reports, charts, and reporting templates.
Reporting & Finance Administration
- Monitor reporting calendars, timelines, and submission deadlines.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely reporting submissions.
- Track KPI performance and reporting completion status.
- Manage reporting workflows and follow up on outstanding items.
- Update recurring finance reports, including non-personnel cost monitoring.
- Administer finance tools, including Concur (Spend & Travel Management).
Finance Systems & Transformation
- Support finance system implementation projects, including Tagetik consolidation tools.
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and data migration activities.
- Perform data validation and testing.
- Prepare user guides, process documentation, and training materials.
SAP Master Data & Controlling
- Maintain accounting and costing records within SAP material master data.
- Perform data quality checks for master and transactional data.
- Support management reporting, analysis, and commentary preparation.
- Assist in product cost estimate preparation, budgeting, and cost analysis activities.
Sustainability Reporting Support
- Collect and validate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) data using standardized templates.
- Support data gathering related to energy, water, waste, workforce metrics, training records, diversity KPIs, health and safety metrics, and compliance reporting.
Your profile
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in finance operations, accounting, controlling, or shared services environments.
- Experience supporting month-end close processes, reporting, and intercompany reconciliations.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills.
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with global teams.
Nice to Have
- CPA qualification.
- Exposure to consolidation tools such as Tagetik.
- Experience with system implementations, UAT, process improvement initiatives, or finance transformation projects.
- Knowledge of costing, budgeting, and KPI reporting.
